Sports Science

The sports scientist strives to integrate the various fields of science concerned with the movement of the human body and to research the changing effects of sports with society. Sports scientists work with - among others - anatomical, biological, mechanical, pedagogic, physiologic and social scientific topics. The results of their studies flow into the health and endurance sports fields as well as the daily lives of athletes and those who actively engage in sport activities. Derived from the ALTIS endurance test, the field of sports and training science plays a major role.

Education

The university education to become a sports scientist comprises an extensive theoretical and practical training. Only students who pass the physical performance test are allowed to these studies. After the bachelor studies, which last 6 semesters, have been completed, students can continue for another 4 semesters to further specialise their skills.
