Dialysis

The Humanomed Center Althofen combines in one facility the fields of orthopedics, cardiologic and metabolic rehabilitation. All three fields are for dialysis patients of special importance.

As the first Austrian cure and rehabilitation center, the Humanomed Center Althofen provides dialysis patients with four hemodialysis stations the opportunity to complete a cure and/or rehabilitation while completing their necessary dialysis all in the same facility.

The aims for dialysis patients are the reintegration in their professional lives as well as their private ones, the resumption of their personal independence in their daily lives as well as the patients' motivation following the slogan “Learning how to live with a chronic illness”

Dialytic care is performed in cooperation with the first medical department of the Provincial Hospital Klagenfurt under the direction of Prof. Dietmar Geissler, MD.
