Successful cooperation between the Orthopedic Department of the Klinikum Klagenfurt and the Private Hospital Althofen

Since 1995 the Private Hospital Althofen has been taking care of orthopedic patients of the public hospital Klagenfurt, under the leadership of medical director Bernd Stöckl, MAS.

Bernd Graf, MD, Head of Orthopedics in Althofen, treats patients of the Klinikum Klagenfurt with degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system and patients after orthopedic surgery, e.g. joint implants or spine surgery.

When patients undergo surgery, they are transfered to Althofen right after the procedure, where they receive post-operative treatments and initial therapies. For this purpose the Humanomed Center Althofen provides besides a special team of physiotherapists also the diagnostic and therapeutic infrastructure of the Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center to treat these patients.

In Althofen there are 28 beds which are primarily used for orthopedic patients of the Klinikum Klagenfurt. So far there have been 10,000 patients treated in Althofen.
